Internship through Foundations Community Partnership at YWCA Bucks County
This experience was more than just an internship. For myself and the other fourteen of my peers, it was a new lifestyle, it was an eye-opening experience that we will never forget. Working at the YWCA of Bucks County, I created many documents that ranged from promotional documents, to manuals, to lesson plans. Creating documents was a great experience, but I learned the most from the hands on work I did through the agency. For six weeks, I had the first hand experience of helping run one of their summer camps. Working directly with the children and knowing that you were the one person that brightened their day was one of the best experiences I have ever had the privilege of coming into contact with. I faced many adversities throughout this process but in the end, I am now a better writer, work better under pressure and in a short amount of time, am able to work well with large groups of people, and have mastered public speaking.

Bloomsburg University Writing Center

For two of my three years at Bloomsburg University, I had the incredible experience of working as a peer tutor and an appointed member of the Human Resources Committee at the Bloomsburg University Writing Center. This has taught me how to communicate successfully and collaborate well with others. Through this experience, I have also had many opportunities to deliver the presentation to classes about using sources effectively and ethically.
